Historians of the circus arts sustain that the art and craft of the clown is the most difficult to perfect because these performers must learn so many things. Grock, the greatest clown of all time, played fourteen instruments. On this occasion Pedro Santos will play only one: the saxophone. This is the instrument, moreover, with respect to which he had acquired specialist skills when he graduated with the highest marks at the Escola Superior de Mùsica e Artes do Espetàcolo at Porto. However, he is now a 'palhaço' and a saxophonist. In an original and innovative manner he has combined his great talent as a saxophone player with a comical clown act. It was not by chance that in Spain this eclectic character became the artistic director of the Evolution Circus, a group comprising performers who are highly sensitive and open to new experiences.
